Following Mapbox's unveiling of a new logo, we aimed to amplify the excitement by refreshing the homepage for maximum impact. Leading the charge, I spearheaded the redesign to prominently showcase our three core product offerings: mapping, navigation, and location search SDKs.
HERO
The hero animation shines a spotlight on Mapbox's three core product offerings: mapping, navigation, and location search SDKs. Adding an interactive twist, John developed the animation using code! Users can switch between light and dark modes for the map tile and even update the 3D tile building's color, providing a dynamic and engaging experience.
NAVIGATION MENU
We revamped the dropdown navigation menu to offer a more user-friendly experience, complete with added links and categorized sections for improved navigation.
AVATAR
I created a custom default avatar featuring our astronaut mascot for signed-in users, adding a playful touch to their profiles. Additionally, to commemorate the launch of our homepage, we designed custom pins as a fun keepsake.
DISPLAY ADS
To bolster the launch, we crafted a series of display ads directing users to our freshly launched homepage.
